Women On Our Own (WOOO)

Zita McCoig

WOOO is dedicated to providing activities especially for single women in SaddleBrooke. Whether you are new to SaddleBrooke or just looking for some new activities, WOOO has many options.

Breakfast and Books is on the fourth Friday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at the MountainView Bistro. May will be one of our own authors Dottie May; the title of her book is Skeletal Secrets. It is informal and all are invited.

Games include MahJongg, five deck Canasta, Hand and Foot Canasta, Bridge and Rumi Cube.

Dining includes a monthly dine-around and a potluck in a member’s home. The next potluck is May 21. If interested contact Barbara Sullivan at [email protected].

Travel is open to suggestions from any member. Currently there are two trips planned for May. One is a two night stay to Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell. The other is an overnight to Phoenix to visit the Botanical Gardens and the Musical Instrument Museum.

We can also now be found on Meet Up for impromptu movies, lunches or anything you would like to add. For instructions as to how to become part of Meet Up contact Donna Marie Thompson at [email protected].

New club officers have been elected and include Lynn Crookes, president, Julie Biesak, vice president, Lonnie Treat, secretary, Lucie Gerritzen Stevens, treasurer and Barbara Sullivan and Jan Maresca are members at large.

If you are interested in joining or attending an activity please contact Lynn Crookes at [email protected].
