Jane Gromelski
You’ve seen others dancing on the floor, now see how easy it is. We invite you to come and learn the Texas Two Step and the Western Waltz and experience a boot stomping, ground pounding good time! We will begin our next series of classes on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in the HOA1 Vermilion Room at 6:00 p.m. The series of six hour long classes will continue on through April 22. The series costs $48 per couple. Western Dance is the easiest dance style to learn and classes are relaxed and fun. If you can walk, you can dance! Our students leave classes smiling.
Dancing is good for the mind and the body; it keeps you young at heart. How many other sports allow you to hold your partner in your arms as you participate? We recommend smooth leather soled shoes or boots; no sandals, please. Contact Jane to reserve a space in the class; information is below.
Intermediate dance classes will start at 7:00 p.m. in the Vermilion Room and run for the same dates. The Intermediate series is the same price as the Beginners, $48 per couple. We will work on Texas Two Step and Waltz on an intermediate level.
On Thursday nights in the Mesquite Aerobics Room, we will offer Partner Pattern dance classes. They are fun, addictive and offer a change of pace for dancers. The start date will be March 5 and they will run through April. These will be $8 per couple per class. If you’ve seen our intermediate dancers you know they have learned some intriguing patterns and have a lot of fun dancing them.
Partners Western Dance Club, a separate entity, will have a dance with Branded Duo, on Friday, February 20 in the MountainView Ballroom. We will have a buffet and a cash bar. Ticket price will be $25 per member. Our last dance with Branded Duo was our wildly successful 2014 New Year’s Eve party; they provide great Country Western dance music.
In March we will have a dance with music by Wild Ride on Wednesday, March 11. I can guarantee that this will be a great night of dancing.
Our final spring dance will be Friday, April 17 with Branded Duo. There will be a buffet and a cash bar. We will end the season with another great night of dancing. Mark your calendars; you won’t want to miss any of these great club dances! We have a great group of dancers who make each dance better than the previous one.
Club membership is $15 per person, but it saves $5 of the ticket price for each dance and we have planned seven dances in 2015.
The fun to cost ratio is outstanding.
Grab your partner, some friends and come join the growing number of Western dancers here in SaddleBrooke.
