Members of the SaddleBrooke Squares enjoyed a great dinner and dance at the Cadillac Chaparral on October 30!

Our dance season is off to a very busy start. We have a very energetic new class. The class meets on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the Mountain View Fitness Center. Practice dances for the new class members meet on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Fitness Center. The Tuesday dances are for anyone wanting to practice their square dancing. So, if you haven’t been dancing and want to practice, come on down to the Fitness Center on Tuesdays.

We had a very spooky dinner and dance on October 30 at the Cadillac Chaparral. There were a few ghosts and goblins in attendance. What a fun night. We all had a great time. Good food, good friends, great exercise, and a lot of laugher.

On Saturday, November 15 the Sundancers hosted a mini festival at Sun City Vistoso. The festival featured Dee Dee Dougherty and began at 2:00 p.m. with a plus workshop. The evening was filled with round dancing and square dancing.

On November 19 we met at the Oracle Inn at 5:00 p.m. for dinner followed by square dancing. We even had a square around one of the poles on the dance floor in the bar. One of the club members said something about pole dancing. Can that be? Wow, what a great way to spend the evening. Life is good!

Our Christmas party will be on December 4 at the HOA No. 1 Activity Center with a pot luck dinner followed by exercise called square dancing. We always have a great time.

Our next adventure will be a welcome back dance in Mesa on Sunday, January 4. We are now planning on car pooling; so if you are interested check with Mike Westerbeck. After the dance we will stop for dinner.

This dance season promises a lot of different and fun events. Check out our calendar at www.saddlebrookesquares.com. We guarantee you’ll see why we have lots of fun and laughter. After all, laughter is good for the body and the soul.

See you across the square.
