Prescription Drug Drop-Off Program

Location: Pinal County Sheriff’s Substation (a few doors away from Bank of the West)

Schedule: Second Friday from 10 a.m. until noon and fourth Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Dates: March 11 and 22, April 8 and 26, and May 13 and May 24

Requirements:

Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated.

No liquids, syringes, creams, or sharps (needles).

Place pills in sealed plastic bags (no bottles). Pills can be mixed and combined in one bag.

The correct way to dispose of needles and syringes is to place needles in a puncture-proof plastic container with a screw-on lid (e.g., detergent bottle). Label container with “Do Not Recycle.” Secure lid with duct tape. Dispose of in a trash can. Do not recycle.

For liquid medications, put into a watertight container (e.g., empty butter tub). Mix in used coffee grounds, soil, or kitty litter. Secure the lid with duct tape. Dispose of in a trash can. Do not recycle.
