The hospitality committee would welcome volunteers to co-host for a combined May/June Ladies Coffee. Please contact Harriet Rosenberg at 529-6533 or [email protected] to coordinate the date and details.
The April meeting of the Co-ed Book Club discussed Peony by Pearl Buck hosted and presented by Linda Solomon. Set in China in the 1850s, it deals with the constant contemporary problem of assimilation of the Jews in the surrounding culture. Interesting how some things simply do not change over time.
Our book for May 14 is A Replacement Life by Boris Fishman at the home of Ellie Adelman, 36500 S. Rockcrest Drive. RSVP by Monday, May 11 to 520-818-3064 or [email protected]. Brown bag lunch at noon followed by a discussion at 12:15 p.m. Dessert and drinks will be served.
This will be the last meeting of the most interesting current year. Sandy Epstein will be asking members for suggestions for next year’s reading list so please come with suggestions.
We count on your support and encourage you to join our regular activities which are solely intended to encourage and enable the extension of Jewish friendships throughout SaddleBrooke. Please feel free to make your suggestions known to Steve or Sy in the hopes that we can work together to enhance the nature and meaning of Jewish friendship in the future.
