The summer is over and soon we will be seeing many of our friends from colder climes returning to our activities. Our very popular potluck supper is returning on Wednesday, November 30 at 6:00 p.m. at the HOA 1 Activity Center. This is a free evening with your entrance fee being a delicious dish for all of us to enjoy.
Please include the ingredients on a card so that people can avoid anything to which they have allergies. RSVP to Faith Fromson: [email protected] or 818-1154 and confirm whether you are bringing an appetizer, main dish, side dish, salad or dessert.
Thanks to Carol Gordon, Suzanne Daniels and Susan Hackett for co-hosting the September Ladies’ Coffee. Despite the absence of our snowbirds and vacationers, these coffees are always well attended by our members who very much enjoy the camaraderie of this women only event.
Eileen Feldgus and Willie Reich have kindly offered to co-host the Ladies’ Coffee on Monday, October 17, 10:00 a.m., at Eileen’s home, 37773 S. Golf Course Drive. Hopefully you have RSVP’d by now!
The November Coffee will be held on Friday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the home of Abby Greene, 62273 Moon Crest Court and co-hosted by Margie Baron. Kindly RSVP by Sunday, November 13 to either Margie at [email protected], 310-913-1383 or Abby at [email protected], 825-4321.
Co-Ed Book Club members should already be reading the October selection:
Belfer: And After the Fire. The meeting will take place on October 13 at 12:30 p.m. at the home of Sharron Finegold, 66125 E Peregrine Place, The Preserve.
The club is looking for a host for December 8 for The Marriage of Opposites or February 9 for Pumpkinflowers. Please contact Sandy Epstein at [email protected] to sign up for either of these books. Other than leading the discussion, presenters need only provide dessert and drinks. It’s fun, easy and interesting. Plus you get to talk more! If you have never hosted, “try it – you’ll like it.”
Thanks to all of you who have volunteered to serve on the Potluck Committee. It is our volunteers who make this organization function as well as it does and their contributions are highly appreciated.
The Board of the JFG is currently planning activities for 2017. If you have any ideas or suggestions for events, please do not hesitate to contact any Board member. And conversely, should you be unhappy with any events we put on, please let us know. We cannot improve things if we don’t hear from you.
We count on your support and encourage you to join our regular activities which are solely intended to encourage and enable the extension of Jewish friendships throughout SaddleBrooke. Please make your suggestions known to Steve or Sy.
