The Gardeners Exchange of SaddleBrooke Ranch welcomes Brandon Merchant, owner of Southwest Victory Gardens in Tucson on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. to speak about organic vegetable growing. Bring your questions about soils, irrigation needs, type beds and what veggies to grow in which season. The program will be held at La Hacienda Club, La Mesa Room.
Brandon has been gardening organically in the hostile Arizona deserts for nearly a decade. He started his company in January of 2013 so that he could share his knowledge with others, encouraging them to grow bountiful backyard gardens in a way that works in harmony with nature. In addition to running his landscape company, Brandon is also an active volunteer in the Tucson Community. Currently he is the President of the Tucson Organic Gardeners and is also active with the Community Food Bank Garden Program, the Community Gardens of Tucson and with the Pima County Master Gardeners. His company, Southwest Victory Gardens, specializes in the design, installation and maintenance of organic backyard vegetable gardens.
The Gardeners Exchange is dedicated to providing horticultural information for desert gardeners. Bring your questions, bring your answers, bring your garden challenges, bring your excess plants to share. All are welcome. Open seating. No registration required.
