Feline Authors Launch Purrfect Adventure Series

Andrea Sahl accepting the book for Kids’ Closet

Carly and Charly

When we heard that second graders in the Oracle Elementary School District enjoyed reading our first book outlining our heartwarming adoption story as young twin cats, we couldn’t wait to donate a box of our new book, Let’s Go Boating, to SaddleBrooke Community Outreach’s Kids’ Closet. This second book in The Adventures of Carly and Charly series takes us out on the water, in style and in safety.

Charly’s always ready to take on a new adventure, while Carly, as usual, is not so sure. So, what kind of boat is right for cats? What type of equipment is needed? What type of cat training is needed before we head out onto the water? Well, it’s lifejackets and swim lessons for sure. With a little preparation and a lot of catitude, we embark on a great boating adventure. The kids will enjoy our banter and our debates.

We’d like to keep supporting Kids’ Closet by making reading super fun for young students. Right now, we expect our two upcoming books to be published in the next few months. Let’s Play Tennis and Let’s Play Pickleball will be out in late spring, and we’re ready to send boxes of these new cat adventures to Kids’ Closet as soon as the ink is dry. All of our books will also be available in the SaddleBrooke Gift Shop as they are released.

The remaining cat adventure series lineup, now including Let’s Try Baking, Let’s Go Horseback Riding, and Let’s Go Skateboarding, will all be published over the course of 2022.

By partnering with Kids’ Closet, we are giving back to the community. After our rocky start at the Humane Society, we are now in a loving furever home and want to share our good fortune. We are overjoyed to express our gratitude because we will never forget how it all began.
