Wednesday, January 21 – Arizona Beer Dinner
Beer lovers have let us know that they felt left out and unloved after hearing the rave reviews of Chef Dave’s fabulous wine dinners. The first gourmet beer dinner was this past June and it was so well received we’re having another one. This is your opportunity to enjoy the Chef’s magic pairings of food with beers! We are featuring the beers from Mudshark Brewery in Lake Havasu City as well as locally sourced meat and produce. This exciting evening starts at 5:30 p.m.
First course: Full Moon Belgian Style White Ale. A Mudshark interpretation of the classic white beers of Belgium. This version uses both malted and unmalted wheat. North American barley, American yeast, coriander and orange peel round out this uniquely full flavored ale.
Chef choice passed appetizers
Second course: Hava Blue. A crisp American wheat beer, it pairs the flavor of blueberries with the smooth richness of vanilla bean to create a crisp, refreshing lightly hopped indulgence.
Margarita braised chicken sliders with blueberry red onion gastrique and mascarpone cheese with grilled jicama slaw
Third course: Desert Magic IPA. Crisp desert water, a strong malt profile and a double dose of dry hopping.
Open faced chorizo tamale with lime crèma, shredded cabbage and queso blanco
Fourth course: Scorpion Amber Ale. A classic American amber ale, Mudshark uses crisp desert water to create a caramel and malt body that finds balance to make this ale drinkable yet challenging.
Slow roasted all natural Arizona beef strip loin with Wilcox tomato marmalade, black cherry Alfonso balsamic reduction and a triple cream brie cheese gratin with sweet basil infused extra virgin olive oil
Fifth course: Abominable Winter Ale. Legends tell of a creature in the mountain snows. A wintery visitor bringing good fortune to those who catch that elusive glimpse. Mudshark’s abominable double chocolate winter ale is that rare and refreshing glimpse of unexplainable great flavors making believers out of skeptics. Dark and white chocolate make this truly unique stout.
