Cyclemasters cleans up SaddleBrooke Blvd.

Ted Belanger

Twenty two members of the Cyclemasters volunteered their time to help clean up SaddleBrooke Boulevard on Saturday, April 18. The four times a year event has been a special community service for over 20 years! The two mile stretch of road between MountainView Boulevard and Oracle Road was littered with the usual assortment of food and beverage containers, construction material and other odds and ends. Over 20 plus large blue bags were collected this time and await pick up by Pinal County Department of Public Works.

A special thank you to our long time Club Coordinator Ken Siarkiewicz for organizing the clean-up crew. Members participating in this clean up were Eileen Aird, Bud Chase, Jim Egolf, Julie Egolf, Sue Fredrickson, Paul Fredrickson, Arlene Gerety, Bill Kiser, Joanne Marmon, Vince Marmon, John Monfore, Linda Monfore, Ken Perkins, Jack Rose, Susan Rose, Ken Siarkiewicz, Bruce Somerhalder, Phyllis Stensland and Jim Thom.

As our club motto says, “We cycle for fun, food, fitness, and community service.”
