The Coyote Country Cloggers honored veterans and active military at three separate venues starting with a performance in September at the SaddleBrooke Troop Support Dinner Dance at Mountain View Clubhouse. The cloggers were part of a group of SaddleBrooke residents who entertained the audience under the direction of Shawne Cryderman who produced and directed the show.
The cloggers were invited by Gus D’Oldie and Ms. Gina of Jukebox Journey to join them in honoring veterans at Splendido at Rancho Vistoso on November 7 and the Country Club of La Cholla the following week. Gus and Gina started the program with the Star Spangled Banner and the Pledge of Allegiance. Then the cloggers delighted the enthusiastic seniors by dancing to a Bluegrass version of the Star Spangled Banner, Stormin’ Norman, a medley of military songs, and concluded their performance with Patriotic Polka, an award-winning SaddleBrooke’s Got Talent routine. Captain Robert Stone, a 35-year veteran of the armed forces, gave an inspirational speech about his career in the military. Some of the veterans and spouses in the audience shared their experiences in the military, which were extremely moving and sometimes humorous. The program ended with everyone singing God Bless America.
The Coyote Country Cloggers are available to provide entertainment for parties and social gatherings. Please call Carol Jones at 825-8568 to make arrangements for your special event.
