Whether you’re a Cubs or a White Sox fan or (gasp!) a fan of another baseball club you’re sure to enjoy the next big event of the Chicagoland Windy City Club.
In fact, you don’t even have to be a baseball fan at all. You just have to have once lived in Chicago or its suburbs and now live full or part-time in SaddleBrooke or SaddleBrooke Ranch to be a member of the club.
If you meet those qualifications, come join in the fun at a casual, baseball-themed party beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 29 at HOA Two’s Mesquite Grill. More details about how to buy tickets to the event, which will include ballpark dinner fare, will be available next month.
Formed just under a year ago, the Windy City Club already has hosted a pizza party, baseball social, summer get-together and a Halloween party.
“It’s our hope that these Chicagoland gatherings will continue throughout the year so people can enjoy reminiscing about their hometown, make new friends, and maybe even re-connect with some former neighbors,” said Linda Rouse, who along with her husband, Dick and Maureen and Ed Van Dorn, serve as co-chairs of the club.
If you already have signed up as a member of the club, you will receive an invitation to February’s party via e-mail. If you would like to become a member and receive future notifications contact membership chair Joyce Sutay at 825-4220 or e-mail [email protected].
