On October 24 SaddleBrooke Senior Softball Association (SSSA) hosted both Golder Ranch and Northwest Fire Departments to an exciting exhibition tournament sponsored by Splendido at Rancho Vistoso at SaddleBrooke Stadium.
It was exciting…and humbling for the “mighty” SSSA all-stars.
After a warmup game by SSSA’s two recreation league teams, Northwest came from behind in game two to defeat Golder Ranch 22-21 with an exciting walk-off victory in extra innings, earning the right to play SSSA’s all-stars in game three.
Northwest Firefighters clobbered the all-stars! The score is being withheld here to protect whatever might be left of the all-stars’ dignity.
But everybody had a good time and enjoyed hot dogs with all the trimmings for lunch served by the SSSA cheerleaders. SSSA thanks our sponsor, Splendido, both Fire Departments for all that they do and all of the volunteers who made this special event happen.
