The SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild is a nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of classes to build or enhance the skills of artists at all levels of experience. This fall we teamed up with the SaddleBrooke Fiber Arts Club to deliver even more ways for you to spark your inner creativity!
All classes are conveniently located in the Topaz Room at the Arts & Crafts Center adjacent to the MountainView Country Club. They’re open to SaddleBrooke residents and guests. Book Study on The Artist’s Way, by Julia Cameron, facilitated by Deb Kress. Thursdays, Oct. 6 through Dec. 1, starting at 6 p.m. This book study is for anyone interested in finding their authentic artist. We will learn to create more freely through the use of tools in this book.
Beginning Drawing, by Laurie Brussel. Tuesdays, Oct. 18 and Nov. 1, 8, 15, and 22, from 9 a.m. to noon. This class helps beginners and experienced artists build confidence and deepen their artistic perceptions.
Pastel Mentoring Session (third Tuesday of each month), by Delys Nast. Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 1 to 5 p.m. No registration needed; simply drop in.
Scratchboard I, by Robbie Summers. Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon. Create a beautiful picture with scratchboard paper; no drawing experience necessary.
Watercolor Batik, by Karen Brungardt. Thursday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn to combine watercolor and wax on rice paper to create a fantastic painting.
