Ex-Marylanders to celebrate
On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, ex-Marylanders living in SaddleBrooke will celebrate the great state’s 381st birthday with a birthday party at the Mesquite Grill in HOA 2.
The festive affair will begin with a cash bar at 5:00 p.m. followed by a hearty buffet featuring Maryland Fried Chicken and grilled chicken breasts. To burn the calories, dancing will follow.
Vocal cords will be tickled with the singing of Maryland, My Maryland and the Star Spangled Banner, our National Anthem adapted from a poem composed by Francis Scott Key in 1814 at Fort McHenry, Maryland. Grey matter will be challenged by playing the Maryland Trivia quiz. The winner of the 50/50 raffle will share the winnings with a reputable charity. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash to participate in the raffle.
Since seating is limited, a response is required no later than January 15 to ensure a seat at the table. Attendees should send checks along with the names of each person in their party to Nancy Blackwell at 38019 S. Golf Course Drive in SaddleBrooke. They may also be dropped off in the basket at her front door. Make checks payable to Maryland State Party. The cost is $25 per person.
A flyer with a form to be completed was delivered to ex-Marylanders’ mail tubes. Ex-Marylanders who did not receive one please contact Jim Latham at 818-0025 or [email protected].
