Beginning Nov. 6, putting will start at 10 a.m., with sign-in at 9:30 a.m., with Kathie Roberts and Karen Taylor at the table with smiling faces—since they get to sleep in. Setting up the course, which we’ll have to get familiar with again, will be Jan Deschamp, Donna McPherson, and Karen Simmons.
Luncheons will follow putting at approximately 10:45 to 11 a.m. Those of you who didn’t putt and are attending the luncheon, we’ll see your smiling faces by 11 a.m. Remember, luncheons are to be paid with your SaddleBrooke One house account number. Cash or checks will not be accepted.

If you haven’t joined Verde Sputters yet, you are missing out on a lot of fun. Putting times are May through October at 8:30 a.m. and November through April at 10 a.m. (unless there is a frost delay). Membership in Verde Sputters not only provides women participation in an organized sports activity, but also fellowship, community charitable opportunities, and social activities. Dual membership in any SaddleBrooke organized golfing or putting group is not allowed.
Yes, we have a dress code. Slacks are allowed. Skirts/skorts and golf shorts are allowed but not to be any shorter than mid-thigh. Blue denim is not allowed, nor are short shorts, halters, workout or yoga wear, etc. No spaghetti straps, please. Tank tops are allowed, but they must have adequate shoulder straps. Once you become a member, you can order the designer green Verde Sputters golf shirt and/or jacket to wear when you play. Golf shoes or soft rubber-soled shoes are the only type of shoes that can be worn on the putting green. Sandals and casual shoes are acceptable if the soles are soft rubber.
Annual dues are currently $60 per fiscal year. The fiscal year will run from May 1 through April 30. Dues are prorated for new members joining mid-year as of the month they join. Visitors may putt as long as they are in-house guests of a regular Sputter. Please call Elaine Ackerman at 520-825-8123 on or before the Sunday of the week your visitor will be playing.
