SaddleBrooke Resident Releases First Album

More than three decades of musical creation went into the 14 songs on Sean Lewis’ just-released debut album Time Will Tell, but like a good wine, he says, it feels all the better having taken so long to age and settle. “I’ve played guitar since I was 12 and have been performing since I was 21, compiling musical ideas along the way, especially over the last 30 years or so. It feels great to finally have taken this step and put out my own music, and I’m really happy with it. For better or for worse, it’s all ‘me.’” Except for drums, Lewis played and sang everything on the album.

Primarily acoustic guitar-based, the collection reveals rock, pop, country, and singer-songwriter influences. “I like to think there are traces of a number of my favorite artists on [the album], from John Mayer and Tom Petty to John Hiatt, Jackson Browne … maybe a little Beatles,” says Lewis. The album, in its entirety and as individual songs, is available on all the usual online platforms: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, and more, as well as in a six-panel CD package that he also designed. “It was all one heck of a lot of work, but very fun and very satisfying,” says Lewis, “easily the most satisfying creative endeavor I’ve ever done.” Links to those platforms, as well as more information on the entire project, are available on his website www.seanlewismusic.com.

Lewis also continues to perform locally. His music calendar is also on his website. He and his wife Katy are third-year SaddleBrooke snowbird residents. “And we’re loving it!” he says.
