Neil and Nancy Macdonald
A warm welcome greeted all of us for our March soiree at the Potts’ home. Their back patio gave us an equally wonderful Santa Catalina Mountain sunset to watch prior to starting dinner. We truly are lucky to be living under the Santa Catalinas, especially given this year’s lack of winter weather and snow. To have the bonus of our sunsets is really special.
Unit 7 always enjoys good conversations at our monthly get togethers. We share information and happenings at the Brooke as well as upcoming Tucson events and maybe just a smidgen of gossip. The food, very much due to the plethora of superb cooks within our unit, was really wonderful. We also managed to gain $24 towards our Christmas Party funding assist with our 50/50 split the pot gamble. This time Sheila won, although she almost lost as we were about to do a re-draw for a winner as our first attempt almost did not get a winner’s response.
Most all of us got to visit the Potts’ newly finished casita. It is really spacious and very well done.
The April 25 event was hosted by Harriet and Alan Schultz at their home.
