On Friday, March 22, eight SaddleBrooke hikers enjoyed a beautiful sunny day in the Tortolita Mountains. They hiked the Wild Burro and Alamo Springs Spur trails for a seven-mile excursion. The lunch stop at the Alamo Springs overlook is a popular place to rest and replenish while enjoying a remote and picturesque venue.
The Tortolita Mountain trails are expertly maintained by the Town of Marana. Most hikes begin at a trailhead parking area on the Ritz Carlton Hotel access road. While high temperatures keep SaddleBrooke hikers away during the summer months, the rest of the year provides enjoyment.
