Congratulations to Theresa Mares, SaddleBrooke Lady Niners new Club Champion!
The Club Championship is a challenging competition that takes place over three days. The winner is the player with the lowest gross score of the combined total from the three days of play. This year’s tournament took place during three unusually hot days in March. Theresa managed all three heat-riddled days of golf with skill and confidence coming in first, winning the tournament and trophy.
Other golfers in two flights played for Stableford points. This method of scoring awards points based on how well the golfers play each individual hole. The better a golfer plays a hole the more points she receives for that hole. Points are awarded based on the net score. The golfer with the highest point total wins. Winners of the Stableford are:
* Flight 1: 1st Marilyn Fisher, 2nd Hedy Gryszan.
* Flight 2: 1st Regina Pang, 2nd Cheryl Hays.
