It’s Spring…Time for the Quail Classic SBWGA-18

Lisa Bowers, Lynn Wenzel, and Ann Running—Raffle and Silent Auction Chairs.

It’s that time of year again—when the quail emerge and start multiplying! Not to be outdone, the SaddleBrooke Women’s Golf Association (SBWGA) 18ers flocked to the golf courses to celebrate our annual Quail Classic Invitational. With invited guests from across the country, 132 women enjoyed three glorious days of golf and festivities (not necessarily in that order!).

We were fortunate to have an elite sponsor, Trinity Diamonds of Tucson, whose support helped make the event a tremendous success. The festivities began with a party at the RoadRunner Grill, followed by two days of golf and delicious luncheons. The Quail Classic ran smoothly, the golfers played some of their best rounds, and everyone came away a winner.

Creative raffle baskets were assembled by the various casual golf groups, and Trinity Diamonds generously donated a beautiful bracelet as a raffle prize. In addition, Lynn Wenzel and Lisa Bower coordinated the collection of raffle and silent auction prizes, including numerous certificates for golf at courses throughout the Tucson area.

The Quail Classic was chaired by Maire Ryan, with the support of her highly capable committee. A wonderful time was had by all—great job, ladies!
