Unit 29 steps up big time
Unit 29 recently participated in SaddleBrooke’s “I Don’t Want It Anymore” sale. Not unique…lots of people did. However, what they did with their sale proceeds was unique.
Unit 29 donated $1400, 100% of their “I Don’t Want It Anymore” sale proceeds, to SaddleBrooke Troop Support (STS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization staffed and managed by SaddleBrooke volunteers. Unit 29 has historically been a generous STS supporter, but this year’s donation eclipsed everything they’ve done before.
From the bottom of all STS member hearts, thank you, Unit 29!
We also want to recognize Unit 49 for the donations from their September baby shower. Thank you, Unit 49! We at STS are continuously awed by SaddleBrooke community generosity!
If anyone would like to host a baby shower with their friends or SaddleBrooke Unit to benefit a deserving military family, and have Beth Bradford from STS speak about our organization, please contact Beth at [email protected] or 520-818-0971.
One hundred percent of STS donations benefit Arizona active military and veterans in the following ways:
* Food gift cards, financial assistance, emergency lodging and transportation to financially-strained, vetted military families and National Guard troops.
* Stock and maintenance for three military food banks.
* Baby layettes for vetted families in need.
* Tucson International Airport lounge, food and computers for troops awaiting station transfer.
* Building ways to provide education and employment assistance for veterans.
