There are exciting changes coming to the Wednesday free clinics in 2015! The STC member Pros will be conducting the clinics on Wednesday afternoons throughout 2015. These five teachers and lovers of tennis are donating their time and energy for the betterment of the club.
When asked about how this change occurred, TJ Duffy said, “The 2014 Board of Directors invited the new Board of Directors Elect to work with them on the new budget. During those meetings it was determined that one or more of three areas would have to be addressed: dues would have to be raised, coordinators’ hours would have to be reduced and/or the contract with the outside Pro would have to be terminated. I offered to contact other SaddleBrooke teaching Pros to see if they would be willing to take over the free clinics in order to help the club. The response was an enthusiastic yes with comments such as, ‘I think this a great idea, and will benefit all members’ and ‘I would be glad to donate time. Thanks for pushing it. Maybe long overdue.’”
