Tami Graeber won Best of Show at the February 2016 Tucson Quilt Fiesta for her quilt 50 Shades of Gray. This is Tami’s second year in a row for this award. The quilt also won first place in the one person pieced quilt – machine quilted class and a ribbon for exemplary piecing.
Tami’s Bora Bora Butterfly Tree won a second place ribbon in the Art class and a second place Viewer’s Choice award. Her Kentucky Derby “My View” won second place in the pictorial/whimsical art class.
Tami says there aren’t enough hours in a day to execute all the ideas she has. Tami enjoys challenging herself with unique techniques. Her favorite thing is to create original designs that don’t come with any rules. She likes to be innovative but does love difficult paper-piecing projects if she’s working with more traditional designs.
Tami is a great inspiration and valuable member of The SaddleBrooke Friday Quilters. Congratulations, Tami!
Come to the MountainView Ballroom on Sunday, March 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to see Tami’s quilts and about 100 others from the SaddleBrooke Friday Quilters. Admission is free.
