On Oct. 24 SaddleBrooke Pickleball Association (SPA) celebrated Halloween early with a costume party, along with music and dancing. Seventy SPA members, mostly in costume, joined in the fun, bringing their beverage of choice and a dish to pass. The delicious dishes created a buffet of an array of tasty treats. David Argentati’s singing and playing guitar, harmonica, and cymbals kept the crowd’s attention and lured many SPA members to the dance floor.
SPA Social Committee members judged the costumes and named Patricia and Andrew Rybolt, dressed as a police officer and a convict, respectively, as the winners. Second place was awarded to Cheryl and Gary Simpson, costumed as a cheerleader leading a blind referee. Gary and Ann Lange, dressed as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, were awarded honorable mention.
The party was organized and decorated by the SPA Social Committee: Lori Polichnowski (committee chair), Elaine Taylor, Dotti McKee, and Barbara Mitchell. The committee deserved an award itself, as a good time was had by all.
