One of the highlights of summer, the SaddleBrooke Cup, has been determined and we’d like to offer our congratulations to our new champs!
The Birdie Bandits pulled it together on August 14 and wrestled the cup from the SaddleBrooke Stingers who had held it for the previous two years.
The Bandits defeated the Stingers with a score of 19 to 14 in three six-hole mini matches, and we congratulate our winners: Reenie Romey, Becky Hubbard, Takeyo Eakin, Ginny Ford, Maggie Falconer, Eila Sallaberry, Mary Ribacchi, Gail Plimpton, Carol Bidwell, Judy Fick, Pam Brunelle, Christine Smith, Margie Parolisi, Penny Stigers, Sandy Collins, Marcia Keim, Vernie Tupa, Yolanda Niemann, Angie Denahan, Jan Bukes, Sylvia Kastelic and Yvonne LeCornu.

While we’re on the topic of bandits, no hole is safe from the keen eye and dead aim of Bonnie Barker, who could make a fortune as the SBWGA’s official hole-in-one instructor.
Bonnie holed Tucson 8 on July 27 to put an astonishing sixth notch on her ace belt.
We send mighty congratulations to Bonnie and condolences to any hole that mistakenly thinks it can get the better of her.
Congratulations also go to our newest August Aces, Mary Ribbachi gross 84 and Sally Drennen net 66. Well done, ladies, and we look forward to seeing you in November at our Ace of Aces Tournament.
We’re looking forward to seeing our new and potential members at our Ice Cream Social on September 26, so be sure to mark your calendars. You’ll have a chance to meet some members and get a “feel” for the league while enjoying some delicious, cold ice cream.
Second to golf, we can’t think of a nicer way to get to know people than over a chocolate ice cream cone!
