It’s time to register for SaddleBrooke Ranch’s 8th Annual Cancer Walk!
The Cancer Support Group Depends on your support!
This past year brought us all a bit closer to resuming our “normal” activities. But when you have cancer, nothing in life is ever normal.
That’s why the SaddleBrooke Ranch Cancer Support Group gathers together to support our fellow residents! A few things we focus on are as follows:
* Holding quarterly group meetings for cancer survivors, friends, and families;
* Providing individual support to cancer patients and their families/friends;
* Accompanying patients/family members to medical appointments;
* Providing meals to support those in treatment; and
* Participating in the annual cancer walk/golf-cart ride/fundraiser.
Each year, Team SBR: Strong, Brave, and Resilient! attends the Tucson Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night.
Along with the annual Light the Night Cancer Walk, we will join together for our 4th Annual “Virtual” Light the Night Golf Cart Ride!
With over 25 carts in 2022, we will once again strive to beat that number and join together at SBR’s 4th Annual “Virtual” Light the Night Golf Cart Ride!
There is no charge to register for either event. When you complete your online registration, you are automatically registered for the Golf Cart Ride and the official Light the Night Walk for Leukemia/Lymphoma. While we never insist on fundraising, we have found that people are just waiting to be asked! In fact, in 2022 our team once again received the third place fundraising award after raising over $6,000!
As a community that always comes together, we ask you to join us once again for the 2023 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night for one or both of these events:
Friday, Oct. 20
6:30 p.m. (leaving at 7 p.m.)
3rd Annual Light the Night Golf Cart Ride at SaddleBrooke Ranch
Saturday, Oct. 21
7 p.m. (festivities start at 5 p.m.)
Rillito Regional Park, 4570 N. 1st Ave, Tucson, AZ 85718
By joining our team and raising funds for this important cause, you’ll make a real impact on the fight against cancer. We come together as a community to honor survivors, raise awareness of blood cancers and all cancers, and remember those who have lost their battle.
Please join Team SBR: Supportive, Brave, Resilient by registering at pages.lls.org/ltn/az/TucsonL23/sbr.
Note: Registration on the website will automatically register you for the Oct. 20 Community Golf Cart Ride and the Oct. 21 Light the Night Walk.
Raise $100 and you will receive a t-shirt (all cancer survivors get a survivor shirt!).
Can’t attend the walk? Feel free to make a donation to the team member of your choice by logging onto pages.lls.org/ltn/az/TucsonL23/sbr. Then choose a team member from the “Donate to a Team Member” section on the right side of the page.
