Women On Our Own (WOOO) is an organization in SaddleBrooke with more than 180 members who are single women who are not in a committed relationship. Women who find themselves as a sole caregiver to a partner are also welcome in WOOO.
Events and activities in WOOO are numerous and continue to grow. We encourage women with an interest that isn’t currently offered to our membership to put out an inquiry. One can bet that there are other WOOO women who would be interested in joining.
Each Saturday during each month, interested WOOO women enjoy dining together. Saturdays are important to many of us, as we remember weekends as times we enjoyed events with partners, neighbors, family, and friends. So, each Saturday, as a member of WOOO, there are opportunities for such social gatherings.
First Saturday: Happy Hour (and dining) at a chosen restaurant
Second Saturday: Dining at a restaurant in SaddleBrooke or close by
Third Saturday: Ethnic dining experience
Fourth Saturday: Potluck held at a member’s home in SaddleBrooke
Each of these is open to all WOOO members for sign-up, but it is first come, first served, as most of these events have limited reservations.
Recently, First Saturday Happy Hour celebrated Autumn and upcoming holidays by finding the spirit of the Desert Southwest at local steakhouses Cadillac Chaparral Steakhouse and HiFalutin Rapid Western Grill. These are popular grills that produce wonderful steaks, salads, beans, and beers but, mostly, laughter and friendship when frequented by the ladies of WOOO!
