How many of you remember “Late December back in ’63, what a very special night for me, ‘cause I remember what a night?” This and other songs from The Four Seasons will be featured in the upcoming SaddleBrooke Singers concert, Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys and Friends, April 10 and 12 at the DesertView Performing Arts Theatre in SaddleBrooke.

Mamma Mia and Jersey Boys are what are called Jukebox Musicals because the music consists of popular songs rather than songs written exclusively for the show. In Mamma Mia the songs tell part of the story, such as I Have a Dream, Take a Chance on Me and Thank You for the Music, sung by the characters in the script. Jersey Boys, on the other hand tells the story of the lives of The Four Seasons and the songs are hits from their career.

The SaddleBrooke Singers are proud to present numbers from these two musicals as well as a selection of other songs from that period that you will certainly remember: My Guy, California Dreamin’, Sweet Caroline, You’re Sixteen and Barbara Ann, to name a few. These will be sung by the choir as a whole and by quartets and other small groups.

So, think back to what you were doing and where you were in the 1960s and 1970s, and relive those days through the music of that era and we hope you will say when the evening is over, Oh, What a Night!

The concerts are Friday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 12 at 4:00 p.m. at the DesertView Performing Arts Theatre. Tickets are now on sale at the MountainView Administration Office, by phone at 825-2818, or online at http://tickets.SaddleBrookeTwo.com. $18 advance purchase or $20 at the door.
