Thank You Friends
Our recent Fashion Show/Luncheon was a tremendous success!
Because of all who purchased event tickets and/or bought cash raffle tickets, SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network, a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible corporation, will be able to assist many local pet rescue facilities. This year’s event surpassed even last year! Thank you!
Monthly Pet Donation Drop-Off Program
Marcy Vernon
Our various pet charities are always in need and are always thankful for your donations. Please consider dropping off any of the items listed below. Cash donations are also accepted and appreciated. The drop-off location is at the SaddleBrooke One bocce ball courts. It is the first Friday of every month.
We are now into our fall/winter hours of 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Caution: Please drive up slowly and watch for volunteers at the cones!
We always need pet food.
We accept most pet-related items that are in clean and good condition, such as clean towels and clean sheets, both flat and fitted.
Pet crates of any size are accepted. Please break them down before donating.
We cannot accept any Poly-fil items, such as pillows, as they present a choking hazard. Nor can we accept any rugs with rubber backing.
Any items accepted are at the discretion of the volunteers.
Please do not leave items unattended.
Pet Rescue Network Participates in the Jim Click Millions for Tucson Raffle
Diane Korn
This year, for the first time since its inception, the SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network participated in the 2023 Jim Click annual Millions for Tucson Raffle.
Along with 330 other local 501(c)(3) charities, the Network accepted the challenge from the automotive dealer to help raise at least $1 million in raffle ticket sales.
In addition to raising $1.87 million, the most in a single year in the history of the raffle, this year saw the largest level of funds raised on a per-charity basis.
The SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network raised more than $8,000 in raffle ticket sales; all of which went directly into the coffers of the Network. This money will, in turn, be distributed to our local rescue partners to help fund their medical costs and daily expenditures in 2024.
While none of the three winning tickets was purchased directly through the Network, the winner of the second prize (two roundtrip, first-class airplane tickets for travel anywhere in the world) was won by Karyn Zoldan of Tucson. Karyn purchased her winning ticket from Cherished Tails, one of the local rescue groups the Network supports—an indirect win for the Network!
Thanks to all who purchased tickets and helped the Pet Rescue Network exceed its fundraising expectations! We hope you will consider participating in the Jim Click Millions for Tucson Raffle again next year.
My Name Is Robbie, and I would Love to Have a Home!
I was rescued on July 4 in SaddleBrooke by volunteers of the SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network (SBPRN). They think I was frightened by the fireworks and ran away from home. After four and a half months, my previous owner has never been found. I am being cared for by Oracle Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation (OARR).
They say that I’m approximately two and a half years old and a 55- to 60-pound male Rottweiler/Lab mix. I love interacting with people and crave affection. I am strong and healthy and like other dogs, but I cannot live with cats. I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, housebroken, and have been receiving regular training sessions to learn basic commands and to walk on a leash. The trainer says I am doing well, and OARR has offered to continue helping with training if I am fostered or adopted. Other than people, my favorite thing is riding in the car.
Please consider fostering or adopting me. I promise I will steal your heart. For more information, contact Romayne at 520-834-5718.
