Save the Dates! Don’t Miss the Fashion Show and Luncheon

This year, SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network’s (SBPRN) annual Fashion Show and Luncheon will be held at the SaddleBrooke One clubhouse on Wednesday, Nov. 30, and Thursday, Dec. 1. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., seating at 11 a.m., with the event starting at 11:30 a.m. Calle Rose will be returning with her beautiful line of clothing and accessories.

Ticket price for the luncheon and fashion show is $25, and tickets go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 9 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke One lobby. This is always a big sellout, so arrive early and take a number, which assures your place in line. If you are buying tickets for a group, we suggest tables of eight, and one transaction, please, for the group.

The lunch menu consists of a Birdie Salad of mixed greens, mandarin oranges, bell peppers, fried wontons topped with grilled chicken, and choice of two dressings, with rolls and coffee included. Dessert is sorbet with a wafer cookie.

This event supports SBPRN in its efforts to assist many homeless animals with their medical care and in finding them their forever homes. Once again, we will be pre-selling raffle tickets for our cash raffle, so bring those $20 bills with you, ladies. Last year we had a record amount of cash drawings, and this year we hope to distribute to even more winners!

We are also offering a new fun addition on ticket buying day: temporary paw print glitter tattoos for only $5. This artist will be available outside in the front entry from 9 to 11:30 a.m. So, come take your number for your place in line and, while waiting, buy your cash raffle tickets and get a fun glitter tattoo! What better way to get into that holiday spirit!

Dharma Needs a New Home

Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, sweet Dharma needs a new home. She is currently living in SaddleBrooke and has for the past five years. Dharma is an eight-year-old Australian Cattle Dog. She loves people, cuddling, and golf cart and car rides. She walks well on a leash, is healthy, up-to-date on all vaccinations, is spayed, housebroken, microchipped, and approximately 40 pounds. Dharma has been deaf since birth, but that has not stopped her from being a sweet, playful, loving companion. She responds to hand signals very well. Dharma would do best as an only pet. There is so much more to share with you about this beauty.

Happy Tail

Recently, the SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network (SBPRN) was contacted by family members of a SaddleBrooke resident. The resident had been hospitalized, and it was determined that she would be unable to continue caring for her small dog. The family was referred to SBPRN’s re-homing coordinator who maintains a list of individuals who are looking to adopt a dog.

This, by far, was one of the easiest adoptions that we have ever conducted. This perfect little boy, Bengee, is part poodle and part Shih Tsu. He loves to play with his toys, go on walks, and cruise in the golf cart. But most of all, he loves to cuddle. His new owners, Cheryl and Jerry Fay, had recently lost their cherished little dog, and their grief was overwhelming. They were delighted to meet Bengee and fell in love immediately. Bengee has really hit the jackpot with his new home, and we could not be happier for everyone.

Thank you, SaddleBrooke, for always stepping up when it’s most needed.
