Bringing home the bacon? No, I don’t think so.

A few members of the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club went shopping at the new Tucson Premium Outlets along route 10. It was just in time to spend a little cash getting ready for the Easter Bunny. We brought home more exciting things than bacon.

Before we started shopping, there was Donna Erickson line dancing in the parking lot. I think some of the passersby thought she had lost something. Five of our group moseyed into Christopher & Banks. Judy Saks almost got lost in the clearance racks.

The sweet scent of chocolate lured us into Godiva Chocolatier where we all sampled their sinfully delicious dark hot chocolate beverage. We were having so much fun in there that the sales clerk said she wanted to call her boss and ask him if she could join us for the rest of our shopping adventure. As we were finally leaving the sweetest shop in the mall, Mary Gajeske said she thought she saw the Easter Bunny hiding in the corner munching on some of the chocolate covered caramels.

Shirley Miller is very famous for her home made brownies and she was spotted looking through the Kitchen Collection Store. She must have been looking for a new recipe to make for her Sunday school class. Our club President Kathy Ames bought her granddaughter a cute little jacket from Carters. We all ended up with some great bargains but, come to think of it, we never did find that store selling bacon.

We had just enough money left in our pocket books to partake in the delicious home-style food that was being served at Cracker Barrel which is located only a few miles away from the Outlets. It was hard tearing ourselves away from all the unique items in Cracker Barrel’s shopping area but we finally made our way home with our tummies full and our purses empty.

Come join us on the dance floor. Best place to start is Level 1 workshop, held on Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke Vermilion Room and Level 1 dance program held on Wednesdays in the HOA 2 ballroom at MountainView.
