SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club

Newcomer lessons offered

Sue Robisch

Want to learn to line dance but are afraid to try? Or perhaps you learned line dancing some time ago and your boots are dusty? Autumn is approaching and the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club is offering an easy way to learn the basics of line dancing in three simple sessions.

The sessions will be on Friday, October 19, 26 and November 9 from 10:45 a.m. to noon at the SaddleBrooke One Vermilion Room.

No prior dance experience required. No partner required. Experienced SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club instructors will teach you the basics of line dancing with an emphasis on fun. We believe in “doing not viewing” and we promise to give you happy feet and a smiley face!

At each session you will learn the steps and patterns and master a variety of fun and popular dances. The best part…the lessons are almost free. All we ask is that you join the club for just $10 a year. The membership includes not only your lessons, but entitles you to attend all of the club’s weekly practices, workshops, socials, luncheons and parties. If you miss a lesson, don’t worry because you can catch up at our workshops where you can enjoy yourself with other beginners.

Please check out our activities, events and photos on our website Class size is limited to 20 so please make your reservations as soon as possible. You must be enrolled prior to the start of the first class. No walk-ins, please. To enroll in the above three sessions, please contact Dorothy Wood at [email protected]. See you on the dance floor!

Come dance with us

Summer is winding down. Autumn is upon us. The snowbirds will be returning soon and our activity calendars will be filling up again. There is no better time than now to add line dance to your choice activities. Maybe you have always wanted to line dance but just never took that first step, not sure it is for you. Come on! The SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club offers the perfect opportunity to take the plunge.

The SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club offers line dancing at all levels. If you are a beginner there is a session just for you. So, if you are new to line dancing or if you have mastered the basics but want to learn the beginner club dances, this is the session for you. Moving on up the skill ladder we have an intermediate session and an intermediate/advanced session. We also have a workshop for each level where you can brush up on your steps and receive individual help.

Come try it out. Drop in to our Level 1 workshop on Tuesday mornings from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Vermilion Room at the SaddleBrooke One Clubhouse. All are welcome and you will meet others who are also new to line dance. I promise once you do then you will want to come to our Level 1 program on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the ballroom at the MountainView Clubhouse.

Line dance is our passion but we also love to get together off the dance floor for fun, food and camaraderie. Come join us. The annual membership is only $10. Check out our website at or contact Dorothy Wood at [email protected].
