Dancers, Prancers and Vixens
‘Twas the week before Christmas and all through the house, the creatures were stirring, even the mouse—was tapping his toes at the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club’s Holiday Party! On December 15, over 45 line dancers proved that “Jingle bell time is a swell time” by donning their gay apparel to dine and dance at the beautifully decorated SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. President Terri Gage put us all in the Christmas spirit by creating a playlist that matched our most popular dances to holiday music, allowing dancers to fa-la-la-la-la to their heart’s content. The HOA 1 staff served a delicious lunch; we heard many compliments on the grilled chicken and the marinated skirt steak. Social Committee Head Lynne Kumza and her industrious elves distributed Secret Santa gifts. Who doesn’t love opening a surprise present? During dessert we were delightfully entertained by a performance by the Silver Belles. Holy Christmas, those girls can dance! Afterward, they taught us a fun dance to the song Blurred Lines — which pretty much describes how we looked! A huge thank you to the Silver Belles for taking time to make our day merry and bright!
With the holidays behind us, what better way to de-stress than to try a little line dancing? It’s fun, requires no partner and it’s calorie free! A good place to start is to drop in to our instructional Level 1 Workshops which are held Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke Vermilion Room. Times and places may vary so please check our website at sbldc.weebly.com and click on Calendar for the latest updates. Looking for the best after-Christmas bargain? Join the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club for just $10 and enjoy line dancing all year long in 2016. Contact treasurer Judy Saks at 225-0040. See you on the dance floor!
