Monday, April 20, at DesertView Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Presentation begins at 7 p.m.

In this talk, Dr. Jehan will explain how:

* Modern surgical technology can treat diseases of the stomach, liver and pancreas.

* Minimally invasive techniques give surgeons greater precision as well as reducing pain, blood loss, and recovery time.

* Robotic surgery helps surgeons perform delicate and complex operations.

Dr. Jehan will also discuss:

* Which patients may benefit from these approaches.

* What to expect before and after surgery.

* How technology continues to improve surgical outcomes, particularly for older adults to maintain independence and quality of life.

* The future of surgical care.
