SaddleBrooke Has Goats

Andrew and Heather Stanford

Stuart Watkins

SaddleBrooke hired Andrew and Heather Stanford’s goats to clear out a section of weeded area in SaddleBrooke that is difficult for workers to safely work. The goats are retained by an electric fence that is powered by solar energy, so there are no loud generators disturbing nearby residents.

These goats are about two years old. After they eat their full (they have four stomachs), they rest and let the food digest. They can eat twigs that are no more than a pencil in diameter.

The goats have provided entertainment for many SaddleBrookers who stopped by to watch them at work and at rest.
