A large crowd came to see the 32 talented artists who participated in the fall art show sponsored by the SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild. Many of these artists have won numerous awards even though many only started their artwork after retiring here in SaddleBrooke. There were new artists who participated this year as well as those who have been in the show since inception, about 12 years. This annual event occurred October 29 and 30 in the MountainView Clubhouse Ballroom.
The variety of fine art displayed was amazing including all genres of painting from western to contemporary, clay and glass sculpture and artistic gourds. Many fine art pieces found new homes during the two day event. The co-chairs of the event, Karen Brungardt, Robbie Summers and Renee Pearson are very proud of the show and, due to the help of the volunteers, had a very successful show. The layout was friendly to viewing the wonderful art and they appreciate the public coming out to support the show.
You don’t have to wait for the next show to see the beautiful art the SBFAG has to offer. There are displays in the Javelina Room and the hallway at the Roadrunner Grill and the Activity Center in HOA 1, the office annex in HOA 2 as well as the Mariposa Room at DesertView.
If you would like to create your own art, there are many classes sponsored by SBFAG. They are listed on the website saddlebrookefinearts.org.
