RV Club Visits Cave Creek Regional Park

Bonnie Stutzman

Nov. 4 through 8 was a wonderful time to visit Cave Creek Regional Park, located in Maricopa County Park. It was a bit nippy at night, but our evening campfire circle warmed everyone up.

Although near “civilization,” Cave Creek Park was quiet, with stars aplenty at night. The park is rich with history. Before hiking trails, campgrounds, and RV and camping slots, the park and surrounding acres were once home to ancient Hohokam people, Apaches, mine operations, farms, and ranches.

Nearby towns are wonderful for dining, shopping, golfing, and much more. Club members had a great time at Buffalo Chip Saloon where we ate BBQ and watched people ride the mechanical bull.

Perhaps the gem of the trip was a visit to the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix. It has a collection of more than 7,500 instruments from 200 countries and territories. Its motto is “Music is the language of the soul.”

It was another great trip for SaddleBrooke RV Club members.
