This summer the SilverBelles toured with Jukebox Journey and performed at various venues around Tucson. August had them dancing at a sock hop at Desert Springs and in early September they entertained at the Splendido memory care facility. Later in the month they performed at the Elizabeth Ann Seton Hall for a very large family crowd at a ‘50s sock hop hosted by Gus D’Oldie and Ms. Gina from Jukebox Journey. A special treat for the Belles was to teach several dozen audience members a portion of their mambo routine at the end of their performance. Not surprising, most of the participants were women but surprisingly, there were a few very young ladies who showed great dance ability and in 50 years could be our newest members.
If you would like us to perform at your venue, please contact Ann Kurtz at 825-5041 or Linda Shuttler at 468-3545. We can be booked for holiday functions, birthday parties or unit get-togethers. Because we enjoy entertaining in our community, we do not charge for performances. However, we happily accept donations to help cover travel expenses.
