The Rhythm Gang of Tucson, a big band playing music from the 30s, 40s and 50s, is a swing band that plays for dancing and listening. They will be playing for the Oro Valley Arts program at Marketplace in front of the theater Thursday, February 11 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The music specializes Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Stan Kenton and Count Basie. This concert will feature music sung by Frank Sinatra, who would be celebrating his 100th birthday.

The Rhythm Gang most recently played for the SaddleBrooke Knights of Columbus Holiday Dinner/Dance and for a special holiday concert at the Fountains of La Cholla. The band is directed by Ed Sand who also plays alto saxophone, Jim Van Brocklin plays trombone, Dave Hillis plays trumpet and Jason Nofsinger plays drums and are residents of SaddleBrooke. The band performs for dinner/dances, unit parties, service organizations, community events, corporate  banquets and fundraisers.
