It’s Men’s Breakfasts time again at Resurrection Church. The first breakfast in a season that extends from October through May will be Saturday, October 7. The time is 7:30 a.m., and the location is the Outreach Center at the main campus in Oro Valley.
The breakfasts are a popular activity and are very well attended. About one-third of the participants are from SaddleBrooke, an indicator of the ever-increasing strength of the SaddleBrooke congregation. There is always a short program, and the October breakfast will feature Pastor of Evangelism Tim Nybroten, a new pastor in a new position, who came to Resurrection Church last spring from Wisconsin. His talk, “Sharing it Forward: The Power of Example,” will include some words about himself and his background.
Four of the five Men’s Breakfasts committee members, Duane Hartzler, Ron McNutt, Al Toensing and Gary Zellinger, are residents of SaddleBrooke. The fifth member, Ken Shepherd, lives in Sun City.
All breakfasts take place on the first Saturday of the month. Any resident of our community interested in attending should contact one of the members of the committee. You do not have to be a Resurrection Church member or attendee to go to the breakfasts.
Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke holds its traditional all-denominational service at 10:00 a.m. in the Vermillion Room of the HOA#1 Clubhouse. Starting the first Sunday in November and continuing through April, there will be services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. All are welcome.
