Republican Club hosts meet the candidates night

Neil Macdonald

On Wednesday, July 20 the SaddleBrooke Republican Club was pleased to host the third in a series of candidate introductory events at the Ballroom in the HOA 2 MountainView complex. The purpose of this well attended event was to bring local Arizona competing candidates and SaddleBrooke area voters together at a series of eight round tables located around the ballroom. This winning format was designed and managed by Richard Brinkley, our club vice president and Jo Ann Livingston our Director of Events. Each of the competing candidates was teamed together with a Republican Club monitor, who then circulated with them around the tables of seated Republican Club members. Candidates introduced themselves and answered questions for 15 minutes at each table. This format allowed both candidate and prospective voter to both get clear eyed and voice contact with each other, which served to provide a level of individual contact which was of benefit to all participants.

We were able to close out this successful meeting by hearing from each of the five Republican candidates who are running for the three to be vacated seats of the Arizona Corporations Commission.

Our August 10 SaddleBrooke membership meeting will be at the HOA 2 Ballroom. Our doors will open at 3.30 p.m. and the event will begin at 4.00 p.m. This events featured speaker is Juan Ciscomani who has the dual role as director of Governor Doug Ducey’s southern Arizona office and the Arizona-Mexico Commission’s Sonora office. We would like to see you at this meeting.
