Members of the SaddleBrooke Pickleball Association, Inc. (SPA), will have a rematch against members of the SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Association (SRPA) on Oct. 20–22. This now annual tournament has been named The Battle for the Saddle and will be held this year at the Ed Robson Pickleball Center in SaddleBrooke. In the tournament last year at SaddleBrooke Ranch, SPA teams won several medals and a total of 141 games. However, the SRPA teams won more medals and 288 games. SPA teams will be hoping to turn the tables and bring the traveling trophy to a new home.
Women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles teams will be classified by skill level: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. The women’s matches will be held on Friday, Oct. 20; the men’s matches will be played on Saturday, Oct. 21; and the mixed matches will occur on Sunday, Oct. 22.
Information regarding registration for the tournament will be forthcoming; however, it is not too early for players to find their partners and begin to practice.
