Second Saturday Women On Our Own (WOOO) is coordinated by Pat Rourke.
Rather than having the dining venues of the greater Tucson area to choose from, second Saturday is devoted to restaurants in and near SaddleBrooke, which many WOOO members find more convenient to attend.
The wonderful news that MountainView Bar and Grill is now open on Saturday evenings was music to the ears of the ladies of WOOO. The largest group of women to attend a Saturday dine-out, 29 in all, cheered the news and quickly asked to be part of the Aug. 8 diners at Mountain View. It appears that all wanted to celebrate this re-opening!
The WOOO ladies were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was spot on, as the laughter and noisy chatter attested to.
Kudos and many thanks to the Bar and Grill managers, Eric Davis and Natalie Rodriquez, the kitchen and bar staff, and to our primary server (and crack photographer) Ale’. You had your hands full with our group and your service was greatly appreciated, adding to a night that will be fondly remembered.
WOOO is an organization in SaddleBrooke for single women who are not in a committed relationship. Many dining events take place each month along with games, day trips, a book club, potlucks, walking, wine tastings, and much more. To find out more about WOOO or to request a membership form, please contact our president, Debbie Flato at deblynne50@gmail.com or 520–818-2904. Our dues are $10 per year.
