A Rabbi, a priest and two ministers walk into a room…

Sandy Wagoner

There have been many positive changes in the LGBT community in the past few years. Laws regarding same sex marriage have been changed and society is becoming more accepting of these loving relationships. Many churches have begun to change their views, also.

GLAAS is excited to present a thought-provoking panel discussion titled “Welcoming Attitudes of Various Religions Toward the LGBT Community.” The panelists will be Rabbi Helen Cohn of Congregation M’Kor Hayim, Father Greg Wiest of Santa Catalina Catholic Church, Rev. Rachel Srubas of Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church and Rev. Palmer Ruschke of Resurrection Lutheran Church. They will each explain the position of their faith’s beliefs about this topic after which the audience will be invited to participate in a discussion and exchange of thoughts.

This program will take place on Wednesday, January 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the HOA One Activity Center.
