Classes
In January, we will start our next series of beginning and intermediate partners western dance classes. In the beginning series, we will cover Texas 2-step for four weeks, then we do two weeks of western waltz. Classes start on Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the SaddleBrooke clubhouse Vermilion Room. beginning classes will be at 6 p.m., and intermediate classes will be at 7 p.m.
Voluntary tuition for the series is $48 per couple, and there will be six classes in the series. The classes will meet on Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29 and Feb. 5, 12, and 19. Intermediate classes cover the same 2-step and waltz, but the steps are more intricate. We have added new steps that can be done in both dances. We love watching our dancers glide across the dance floor.
Please email me at [email protected] if you wish to enroll in the classes or for notification of venue changes.
Partner pattern dance classes will be held on Thursdays, starting Jan. 9. Beginner partner pattern dance classes will be offered at 6 p.m., and intermediate classes will start at 7 p.m. These partner pattern dances offer a change of pace for our western dancers. Some are easy, others more complicated, but they are all part of the challenge and fun of western dance. These classes are a voluntary $4 per person, per class. Classes will be held in the DesertView Mariposa Room. We try to make all our classes relaxed and fun, because dancing is fun!
Dances
The Partners Western Dance Club has monthly dances scheduled with the band Wild Ride on Tuesday, Nov. 19, Tuesday, Dec. 3, and a pre-New Year’s Eve dance on Dec. 29, in the SaddleBrooke One Clubhouse. These are ticketed dances, and club membership is $15 per person.
We will also have a DJ dance on Wednesdays, in the Vermilion Room of the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Volunteer DJs will provide the music. We can order from the menu, socialize, then get in a few hours of western dancing from 6:30 p.m. ‘til 8:30 p.m. These will start in November. These are open to all, and send me an email for the next dance date.
Please mark your calendars, as you will not want to miss any of these ground pounding, boot stomping, fun dances.
Grab your partner, some friends, and come join the growing number of western dancers here in SaddleBrooke.
