Partners Western Dance activities – fall 2018

Jane Gromelski, President

In mid-October, Jane and Stan Gromelski, SaddleBrooke residents, started Beginner and Intermediate Texas 2 Step and Western Waltz dance classes on Wednesday, at 6:00 p.m. Classes began on October 17. They will run for 5 week but don’t worry if you missed these classes, we start all over again in January 2019!

We try to make classes relaxed and fun; it is easier to learn when you are having fun, and we dance because it is fun!

On Thursdays, we will continue to offer Beginners Partner Pattern dance classes at 6:00 p.m. and Intermediate classes will start at 7:00 p.m. The classes will be held in the Mariposa Room in DesertView. These Pattern Partner dances offer a change of pace for our dancers. Some are easy, others more complicated, but they are all part of the challenge and fun of Western dance. You can join these at any time, drop in and give them a try.

The Partners Western Dance Club has dances scheduled in the MountainView Ballroom with the band Wild Ride started on November 3, the next date will be December 6, then December 30. Club membership is $15 per person and open to all SaddleBrooke residents. Most of these dances are dinner dances. Email me for the menu and ticket price.

We will also have open dances on the third Thursday of October and December in the Vermilion Room of the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Volunteer DJs will provide the music. We can meet, dine from the menu, then we dance from 6:15 until 8:30 p.m. These are informal gatherings, no ticket required, nor is club membership. Be prepared for a number of ground pounding, boot stomping dance opportunities. Yee haw!

Grab your partner, some friends and come join the growing number of Western dancers here in SaddleBrooke.
