P.E.O. Luncheon and Style Show committee members meet to finalize plans for the February 26 event at the MountainView Ballroom.

Anticipation mounts for P.E.O. Luncheon and Style Show to be held at the MountainView Ballroom on February 26. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. with a salad luncheon served at 11:30 a.m. followed by a preview of exciting fashions presented by Soft Surroundings (located in the La Encantada Shopping Center).
Country singer Kaci Bays, who has sung with such greats as Mickey Gilley, will perform and piano selections will be offered by Carolyn Cochran. Members of Chapter EP of the P.E.O. Sisterhood who are modeling the Soft Surroundings clothing include Kathy Ames, Perky Armstrong, Emma Lou Van Atta, Tammy Beeler, Barb Evans, Carolyn Kelsey, Mickey Levich, Carolyn McCants, Bonnie Thomas and Judy McLaughlin. Fira Stout will serve as emcee.
Mary Baglien and Vicki Graham, chairpersons for the luncheon, hope for a great turnout and expressed gratitude to Bon Voyage Travel and Navigation Retirement Group for their generous corporate sponsorship of the event.
Proceeds assist the philanthropic and educational organization’s efforts to help women pursue their educational goals. These projects include scholarships and loans benefitting seniors in high school, women working to complete a baccalaureate degree, scholars in doctoral programs and international students studying in the United States. P.E.O. also provides major support for Cottey College, a liberal arts institution for women in Nevada, Missouri.
