The Let’s Dance Club of SaddleBrooke is offering an ambitious line up of ballroom dance lessons for the next six months. These lessons are free to members of the club. Most classes are held Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. to noon, in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse Vermilion Room.
Beginning in December Rita and Steve Holdener will be teaching the fun and sensuous Bachata. ([email protected]). In January lots of energy will be generated by Linda and Barry Moore as they teach the Cha Cha ([email protected]). And speaking of energy, just watching Steve Hess teach the Latin Hustle in February will leave one breathless ([email protected]). Register with the instructors via email, please.
The spring months will bring lessons in Salsa (Poferl and Borkovec); East Coast Swing (Booth and the Moores) and Fox Trot (Poferl, Booth and the Kurtz). Registration for these lessons is necessary. Email addresses will be published in future editions.
In addition to these lessons there are many opportunities to use your dance shoes. Mark your calendars for the second annual dance-a-thon on January 9, 2016. Dances will include Ballroom, Western, Latin, Line and Argentine Tango. Steve’s Super Tunes will once again be the DJ.
The next SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club (SBDC) Dance Party will be on December 26, 2015, featuring Steve’s Super Tunes (DJ Steve). The SBDC hosts the first Thursday of the month dinner/dance. The next one is January 7, 2016, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Vistas Dining Room of the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Dancing will be in the adjacent Vermilion Room. Anyone is welcome to attend this event. The SBDC also sponsors weekly open dances/practices on Sunday afternoons (4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at MountainView Ballroom) and Wednesday afternoons (4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Vermilion Room).
The Let’s Dance Club and SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club have a combined membership fee of $10 per person per year. Membership gives you access to the activities of both clubs.
