“I wouldn’t mind being in jail if I had three cellmates who were decent players and who were willing to keep the game going 24 hours a day.” —Warren Buffett, describing his love of the game of bridge.
Bridge is the world’s most popular card game, enjoyed every day by millions of people. It is played in private homes, in local clubs, and even in great assembly halls, by regular folks, famous celebrities, and world leaders.
The newly created NW Tucson Bridge Club is located at 1171 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd. The club offers a comfortable playing environment and affable, outgoing players of all skill levels. If you’re an experienced bridge player, join our open games three afternoons a week, where you will compete with players of your skill level, including some of the best bridge players in the city. If you’re just learning the game, the club offers novice and limited point games, where you will meet and compete with players just like you.
If you have never played bridge or haven’t played for years and need a refresher or simply want to expand your skill, the club offers bridge instruction. Our talented instructors will help you develop and hone your skills. We also offer a “Play and Learn” session on Friday mornings.
Currently we offer: “Beginning Bridge;” “The ‘Two Over One, Game Force’ Bid System;” and “The Techniques of Play and Defense.”
These classes are in progress and will be repeated later this year. We also offer various single session lessons periodically.
If you have questions, please check out our website at https://www.bridgewebs.com/nwt/ or call the club at 520-447-5724.
Bridge is a great hobby for meeting new friends and keeping your brain sharp! We look forward to seeing you at NW Tucson Bridge Club!
